Running list of what is changing on the site. Newest at the top. I will keep adding to this as things ship.

September 10, 2026

Market

• Paste or upload a screenshot of an item and it reads the item and its stats and fills out the listing for you. The screenshot becomes the listing image.
• The reader shows each stat next to the item's base stat with a +/- so you can tell whether a scroll landed above or below clean, like the in game tooltip.
• Submitted listings show that same base and +/- breakdown, not just the create form.
• Added a 2.1b meso cap on prices, starting bids, buyouts and bids for now.

Library

• Scrolls now have filters: what they scroll (hat, cape, overall, each weapon type and so on), stat, and tier (Lesser, Intermediate, Greater, Chaos).
• Use items got the same style of filter: potions, elixirs, throwing stars, arrows, crafting kits, return scrolls, summoning sacks, coupons and more.
• Every item now shows which monsters drop it when we have that info.
• Clicking Library opens a landing page with all the sections instead of dropping you straight into Items.

Maps

• Monsters on a map are clickable and take you to that monster, where its drops show.
• NPCs on a map are clickable and open a page listing every quest that NPC gives plus where to find them.

Community

• Clicking Community opens a landing page so you can pick Forum, Recruitment or Art.

Site

• Home page now has a search and hot, ending soon and recent listing widgets on the front page.

• Character creation. Build your own MapleStory character, skin, hair, face and gear, and use it as your profile avatar. Head to the character screen from your profile to set it up.
• Community drop data. Report a drop from the monster with a screenshot as proof and a mod approves it. Confirmed drops feed the monster pages and the new dropped by lines on items.
• Quests and Crafting added to the Library, pulled from the datamine.
• Forgot password with an email reset link from noreply@basilmarket.net.
• Discord notifications got richer, item thumbnails and cleaner formatting, plus per user toggles for which pings you get (sold, outbid, ending soon).
• Friends and a full message center with a chats, friends and requests view.
• Messaging privacy. Choose who can send you a DM, and block or report right from a conversation.
• Two step login and account verification with an authenticator app, so you no longer need Discord to get verified.
• Combined the Discord link and the authenticator setup into one Verify and Security box on your profile.
• When verification does not go through, the page now tells you exactly why instead of a generic error.
• Fixed logging out leaving your account pages still showing the old account. Signing out clears it right away now.
• Staff side, the Mod Board is now a dashboard with overview tiles and tabs, including a Drops tab to review community drop reports, plus a Discord and email diagnostics page.

• Rebuilt the Market into three sections, Buy, Sell and Auction, driven by real listings instead of forum threads. The seller picks the buyer to mark a sale done, and sold or ended listings clear out after 72 hours.
• Auctions now have a set duration of 1, 2 or 3 days, an optional buyout, and anti snipe so last second bids extend the clock.
• Price history on each item, built from actual completed sales and settled auctions on the site, with a simple chart and last, average, low and high.
• Buyer and seller ratings. Only the two people in a completed trade can rate each other, once each, and each trader only counts once toward your score so no review bombing with alts.
• Rating responses. If you get a rating you can post one reply to it, and a mod approves it before it shows.
• Your profile shows your bio along with your trader rating and feedback.
• On site notification bell for trade events, so you get pinged even without Discord.
• Anti spam limits on posting, listings, bids and messages.
• Reorganized the top nav into Auction, Community and Library menus and moved account and login to the far right.
